Matt Galligan: The case for open APIs and why Sonos is really missing a big opportunity.
DISCLOSURE: I am a RABID Sonos fan. I’ve got 5 zone players, two controllers and all in a 1,200 sq ft condo. I absolutely love their product, and think it’s exactly what music lovers should have. Having said that, they kind of made me angry this morning:

a few more things to be done with an open api:
• queue system where bad DJs are punished :) by fellow listeners so that they get a handicap and can’t DJ for a couple of hours
• some method to fix the whole “can’t find this music because the computer is not connected” – i hate that error. you get all excited you’re about to play a cool song and you get everyone revved up and then…LETDOWN!
